Yoga

The Indus valley located in northern India is where scholars believe Yoga began. Although difficult to trace the origins of Yoga evidence links it back at least 5000 years to the beginnings of human civilization. It is an ancient practice of movement linked with conscious breath that calms and rejuvenates the mind and body to promote health and wellness.

Yoga is a way of being, an attitude, not something to be done like an exercise. It is about rest, letting go of tension, being in a state of alert receptivity. Yoga uses the breath to free the spine. Movement originates from the spine, and it is only on the exhale that the spine can lengthen and elongate, giving us freedom to release tension .Yoga is not something you force upon your body by pulling and pushing to get into a pose. It is freedom, play, a state of love, a state of beauty, relaxed openness and thus restores us to health, vitality, and gives us energy for life.Yoga benefits anyone wanting to:
